Well, I'm still super bad at trying to keep up with this thing, but here we go. The semester is over, I'm swamped with lab work, Christmas a'comin' and then the New Year, a 25th (!!!) birthday, and then my first committee meeting for my masters thesis. Anyway, everyone else is the world is equally busy with their job, life, etc., so still there is no excuse.
1.) Getting a new car. I bought a new car on Friday. Well, a new used car. But it's new to me. I really love the car itself, but am such a nervous person I have a hard time enjoying it, worrying it was a bad decision and this and that. Sometimes I just need to let go, thus forcing myself to buy a new car. Either way, I like the car more than I ever liked my former car and all that, so for now it is a good thing.
2.) Christmas is fast approaching. I know I have mentioned before how much I love Christmas, and I do. Not because I believe in God or that Jesus is my savior (I don't), but because it's festive, and fun and a good excuse to eat as much as possible and get presents. Yes I wrote GET presents. Call me what you will, but I believe receiving is better than giving. As far as Christmas presents go. I think giving to charity is a good thing, but I still like opening lots of nice Christmas gifts. Also, this year me and BF are going home to my Mom & Dad's house, since we were with his family last year. I haven't seen my parents since May (part of the reason I got a new car is to see them more) and furthermore there's no place like being in my childhood home for Christmas.
3.) Good Holiday food fests. BF and I went to a Christmas party of a lady he works with on Friday. There were so many yummy appethiezers I hardly had room for any entrees. Spinach dip, shrimp dip, this garlicy cheddar dip, chicken wings, etc. SO YUMMY! I love to eat, it's one of my favorite things to do, so I'm looking forward to pigging out at my parents house for a few days! Wahoo!
Ok, 3 awesome things right there.
